Student Youth and Travel Organisation (SYTO), in collaboration with Cultural Homestay International (CHI), USA organizes Internship Training Programme in the USA for graduate students and professionals from Ghana.
This Internship Training Programme (ITP) is of minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 18 months practical learning experience related to your course of study in the United States of America.
If you are interested in improving your understanding of American business practices and methodologies, this is the programme you must go for.
I. Self-Arranged Training

Programme Details
The Training Programme in the USA is a maximum 18 month practical learning experience related to your course of study. If you are interested in improving your understanding of American business practices and methodologies, this is the programme for you.
II. Arranged Internship and housing placement
SYTO/CHI will place you in a well-matched training as well as locate your housing arrangements. We provide:
- One personalized placement with a career –related company.
- Personal Orientation by CHI local staff.
- Airport transfer information or pick up.
- Local supervision and guidance by CHI
- J-1 visa documentation
- Intern handbook
- Unpaid training positions in a wider variety of career fields.
III. Arranged Paid Internship
Highly qualified candidates are eligible to be placed at an arranged paid training positions in the following occupational categories: Marketing; Hotel/Travel Management. Business Management.
SYTO/CHI Provide:
- A paid internship placement with a career—related company
- Personal orientation by local CHI staff
- Local supervision and guidance by CHI
- J1 visa documentation
- Trainee handbook
- Assistance with securing a Social Security card
Requirements
In addition to the regular ITP eligibility requirements, the candidate in this option must also have:
- Be between 22 to 35
- Have completed at least two years or university OR
- Be a recent university graduate or young professional
- A minimum 550 TOEFL or equivalent English test score
- At least two years of career — related work experience
- Have an academic focus and/or career experience related to the following categories:
- Arts and Culture; Information Media and Communications;
- Education Social Sciences, Library Sciences, Counseling and Social services;
- Management Business; Commerce, Finance; Sciences, Engineering, Architecture; Mathematics, and industrial Occupations; Public Administration and Law.
- Submit proof of either intermediate form and supporting documents of language ability.
- Submit a completed application form and supporting documents including the Learning and Training Plan agreement.
